The current situation is posing serious threats to Ukraine’s +40 million people and especially its children. With at least half a million Ukrainians having fled their homes, the situation escalates quickly, but so does the emergency relief as organisations across sectors unite to help and support the people of Ukraine.
The Hempel Foundation wishes to acknowledge and support the work of these organisations and the need for urgent and comprehensive emergency relief. Therefore the foundation has granted a donation of one million euro for emergency relief in Ukraine. The donation will be equally disbursed between seven organizations immediately to deliver essential humanitarian aid for the people of Ukraine.
The organisations are UNICEF, Save the Children, Red Cross, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), SOS Børnebyerne, Human Rights Watch and UNHCR.
Appreciation and gratitude goes out to these and all other dedicated organisations providing life-saving assistance for people in need.
